Robinson Crusoe captured by pirates

How was Robinson Crusoe captured by pirates and how did he escape from them?

Ans. Robionson's friend remarked that Crusoe should not have gone to sea anymore because he had got a bad luck to be a seafarer. Crusoe paid no heed to his friends' remarks. He was ashamed to go home. At last he took decision to go for a voyage. In London he met the captain of a ship who became his friend and offered Crusoe to accompany him to Guinea without any expense. Crusoe accepted the offer. This was for him the most successful adventure. He learnt from the captain the art of navigation and made profit of £260. Unfortunately the captain died soon after. However, Crusoe resolved to go to the same voyage again as a trader. He embarked in the same ship. When the ship reached near the Cavary Islands, she was attacked by a Turkish pirate ship of Sallee. A fight ensued and the ship of Crusoe was completely damaged. All the sailors of the ship were carried as prisoners to Sallee, a port belonging to the moors. Crusoe was kept as a slave by the captain of the pirates. For long two years Crusoe remained slave to him.

For two years what Crusoe's only thought was how to escape. One day luck smiled upon him. His master sent Crusoe with a man named Ismael and a boy named Xury for fishing in the sea. The captain was busy with some of his guests and so he could not accompany them. Crusoe sailed the boat far away from the shore. One day Crusoe tossed Ismael overboard into the sea and compelled him to go back to the shore. Then he turned to the boy Xury and forced him to swear to be loyal to him. The boy swore to be faithful to Crusoe and smiled to him. Crusoe sailed on southward to the barbarian coast. By the next day they were about 150 miles away  from Sallee, beyond the reach of the rover captain and the King of Morocco. But as he was still afraid of the moors, he sailed for five days. They came to anchor in the mouth of a river and only then Crusoe was completely out of fear.

At night they heard the dreadful roaring of the wild animals. They saw many big wild animals coming down to the sea shore. One of the big animals came very close to the boat. Crusoe fired at him and the animal swam back. Afterwards they sailed towards south. They wanted to go to the Cape Verde. After sailing for ten days they The head the shore inhabited by people who were stark naked and black. These people helped Crusoe and Xury with food and water. Crusoe obliged them by killing a dreadful lion and offering the creature to them to eat. However, they left those naked friends and sailed eleven days towards the Cape Verde. One day Xury cried out to see a sailing ship at a distance. Crusoe was beside himself with joy to see that it was a Portuguese ship. The shipmen had seen the boat with their perspective glasses. They shortened their sails and slowed down the speed of the ship. In about three hours Crusoe's boat came up with them. The captain of the ship was very kind and generous. He picked them (Crusoe and Xury) up on board the ship. He took them to Brazil even free of charge. He did not accept any gift from Robinson Crusoe. Thus Robinson Crusoe was escaped from his miserable state of slavery.
