The character of Jane Eyre

Ø Jane Eyre

Jane is one of the most center characters and an orphan girl who is ten years old at the beginning of the novel. She is the heroine in the novel and she is, of course, the main subject of the story; and she occupies a central position in it. At the starting of the novel, we have seen that Jane is ten years old. She has lost her father and mother in her childhood time. On the other side, she has lost her maternal uncle. She is more or less a tragic figure in the novel from the beginning of the story. On the last side, she is the happy woman in the novel. Some characteristics of Jane Eyre are;

Ø Intelligent woman

Jane Eyre is the intelligent woman in the novel. Her activities highlighted or lay down that she is one of the most intelligent people in the novel. 

Ø Patient man

Ø Jane Eyre is one of the most patient women in the novel. She has lost her father and mother in her childhood time. She comes to her maternal uncle’s house and her uncle has done died. After the death of her maternal uncle, her aunty has done many tortures. But Jane doesn’t any reaction to torturing. On the side, Jane has gone to Lowood School. Here, the headmaster is a very hypocritical man. He gives less food to the students. Jane Eyre has suffered food but she doesn’t do any reaction. All the above incidents have been proved that she is the patient man.

 

Ø Lowest height girls

In the novel, Charlotte has highlighted that Jane’s physical appearance is not well. She is not very handsome. She is also short of height and she is not the most wonderful lady in the novel.

Other features of Jane Eyre are:   1.Good manner
